Line item schedules
Line item schedules allow you to add data that is not predefined into input accounts. Line item schedules are useful for planning corporate expenses such as travel and projects where multiple transactions need to be captured to build a total amount.
Example: If you are required to input individual planned travel expenses at the account level, you can use line items to break down the expenses into a schedule by event, by journey, or by employee.
Tip: Line item details can also be imported through the Import Line Item Details process.

FAQ
Where are line item schedules available?
You can use them in Ad Hoc Analysis and in templates in data-entry mode.
Can I see them in reports?
Yes.
How many line items can I add?
You can add an unlimited number of line items for any input account to which data can be entered. When you finish entering the line items, their total is included in the main model. Data in the main model can change even if that data is associated with a line item schedule.
How does a line item schedule treat dimensions?
The Time dimension can only be used in columns, and always represents a leaf member. The Measures, Time Perspective, and Currency dimensions cannot be used with line item schedules.
Can I get reports for all this line item data?
Yes. Administrators can create custom line item reports.
What is an Unexplained Balance line?
When the total value of the line items does not equal the member value stored in the model, an orange-colored Unexplained Balance line, with Justification as System-generated, appears as the first row of the schedule. The value in the row's Line Total is the difference between the model value and the total of the line item values.
After you close the schedule, the orange line is saved as another row in the schedule. The next time the schedule is opened, that previous Unexplained Balance line appears as another normal row. Furthermore, if a difference still exists between the schedule's total value and the value stored in the model, a new orange-colored Unexplained Balance row appears as the first row.
What if I have an Unexplained Balance line?
Replace Unexplained Balance with an appropriate description for the value in the line.
