Export Dimension process
Use the Export Dimension process to extract a dimension from a model and save it as an external text file, or SQL Server or MySQL database table.
The various options control how data appears in the external file; you can choose to turn the header display on or off.

Source: Identify the data source by selecting the Connection, Cube, and the Dimension to export.

File: Type a file name or, to select a process file A data file used in the various import and export automated processes in Process Manager. A process file contains data or dimensions and is Excel (.xls or .xlsx) or text (.txt or .csv) format., click .
Tip: The default file type is .txt; to specify a comma file instead, type a .csv file extension.
Best Practice: If your data includes dimension member names that contain commas (,) your target file should be .txt instead of .csv (the latter uses commas as its data delimiter and this will cause data errors). With a .txt file, the Delimiter option appears and you can choose a delimiter other than commas.

Data Connector
To select the data connector that contains the file that you want to export the data to, click .
Note: Exported data will overwrite all data in an existing data connector.
