 Global Admin exclusive functions

The functions below are restricted to the Global Admin role.

Module or area	Function
 Announcements Studio	Add and manage announcements.
 Profile	Upload the company logo. Set Locale options.
 Data Connection Designer	Allow Global Admins to run previews.
 Document Explorer	Edit security for any folder.  Users drawer: Delete folders belonging to user accounts deleted in Security Manager.  Users drawer: Set folder access.  Recycle Bin: View deleted files for any user,  Recycle Bin: Cut deleted items and paste them to other folders.  Recycle Bin: Delete files permanently.
 Process Manager	 Admin Setup: Create and manage stored procedures and SSIS packages for the Native SQL process.  Admin Setup: Create and manage Sites, Agents, Connections, and Queries for the Data Integration process.  Task Log: Restart process services.
 Ad Hoc Analysis and Data-entry templates	Delete cell comments made by any user. Note: Other admins can only delete comments made by themselves.
 System Hub	 Active Cube Queries: Terminate SSAS queries.  Session Timeout: Maximum duration for inactivity.
 Security Manager	 Tools: Access the Security Audit Report.  Tools: Define password policies. Note: Security Admins cannot assign the Global Admin role and cannot edit access permissions for a Global Admin.
