September 2018

Release notes describe the enhancements and bug fixes contained in new releases and maintenance releases.

What's new

The newest features in Prophix are as follows.

Access

Document Explorer

  • You can now apply security to a folder, including the option to hide it.
  • You can multi-select files and folders.

Auditing

  • Administrators can now use the Login Events feature to monitor system security by tracking various security events.
  • Administrators can enable the Data History feature, allowing users of Ad Hoc Analysis and reporting/data-entry to review all manual changes made to a member combination.

System Hub

  • The System Hub now has an Error Log that Administrators can use to monitor and document the system errors users counter.

Add-ins

  • The Prophix PowerPoint add-in for Office 365 is now available. To learn more, contact Prophix Support.

Enhancements

The improvements in the current release (and any updates) are as follows:

Document Explorer

  • Updated user interface, with many commands moved from menus to the lip.

Detailed Planning Manager

  • Allocations are now available as part of detailed planning models.
  • In Global Vectors Data Entry you can now use Fill Right (Ctrl-R) and Fill Down (Ctrl-D).
  • In a Lookup calculation's Calculation Details tab, you can use the keyboard shortcuts for Fill Right (Ctrl-R) and Fill Down (Ctrl-D).

Detailed Planning Schedules

Line Item Reporting

  • Use line item reports to collect and view all the line item schedules from a data view in a single report.

September 61634 Document Explorer Standard Users were unable to favorite a file if the file was in a read-only folder.
September 55501, 60317 Template Studio Changing the text size caused the row height to reset to the default.
September 60318 Template Studio Format Painter's copy-and-paste for borders did not work correctly on cells that already contained borders.
September 63834 Template Studio Auto Text set to User changed from First Name to User ID if the page selection was changed.
September 66476 Template Studio Enabling text wrapping and then inputting a cell formula caused Prophix to freeze.
September 65619 Templates If the Save as Excel tab's Table of contents option was turned off, when a template with multiple pages was saved as an Excel file, only the last page was exported.
September 58278 Templates With spreading disabled and certain Security Manager settings applied to a user account, spreading on a parent member was still available.
September 63332 Model Manager Deleting a year referenced by a Version, then publishing, then selecting the Start Period or End Period for the Version, caused the error "Cannot read property 'Name' of null".
September 63598 Model Manager It was not possible to delete a Time dimension alternate hierarchy that used default member properties.
September 63288 Model Manager After creating new member properties and adding and removing levels in an alternate hierarchy between publish attempts, running the publish process caused an error.
September 66701 Model Manager When defining a Version's Start Period and End Period, the user should not be able to select a named set.
September 67705 Model Manager

When selecting Custom Member Properties, the Cube and Dimension drop-downs were not retaining the user's selections.
September 63014 DPM It was not possible to turn a required attribute that was a dimension member into a member property.
September 64334, 65174 DPM Editing a schedule's calculation to use a single member named set resulted in an "Invalid data" message.
September 66288 DP Schedules A calculation with a condition resulted in large decimals.
September 66478 DP Schedules While editing the Detailed Planning Object, the value in the calculation column disappeared.
September 67055 DP Schedules After a schedule was refreshed, saved, and closed, it would still hold its locks.
September 66974, 67599 DP Schedules When a large number of records were present the Download Excel option failed.
September 67528 DP Schedules The Total column for calculation columns showed an incorrect result in the Total Row.
September 66262 Workflow Tasks Closing a workflow task tab while another workflow task was open resulted in the message "Failed to validate workflow task."
September 66846 Drill Across Designer In the Preview, the format Short Date with time functioned as Short Date without time, and vice versa.
September 66590 System Hub When clicked, the Sort/Filter drop-down failed to remain open.
